TCS to Create 25,000 Jobs with 20-Acre IT Campus in Bengal Silicon Valley

“Bengal Means Business”: TCS Launches Massive Campus Project in Kolkata

In a major boost to West Bengal's IT infrastructure and employment drive, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is all set to build a state-of-the-art office campus at Bengal Silicon Valley in New Town, Kolkata. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee confirmed the approval of the building plan on Tuesday, describing it as a strong message to critics doubting the state's development momentum.

“To those who continue to malign Bengal and ignore our progress, let this be a reminder of our capacity to deliver. Bengal is rising as a hub of innovation, investment, and inclusive growth,” said Banerjee.

The upcoming TCS campus will be developed in two phases across 20 acres of land. In the first phase, 9 lakh sq ft of world-class office space will be constructed, including an 11-storey building, creating around 5,000 jobs.
The second phase will add 15 lakh sq ft more, generating an additional 20,000 employment opportunities. Once complete, the campus will feature 24 lakh sq ft of built-up area and create 25,000 direct jobs.

This move aligns with TCS’s broader expansion plans across India, including cities like Bengaluru, Kochi, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, and Visakhapatnam. The new Bengal campus is set to play a key role in the company’s nationwide growth strategy.
