Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set for a significant diplomatic journey — a five-nation visit from July 2 to July 9, covering two continents and aiming to enhance India’s global outreach, particularly with nations of the Global South.
This trip will be PM Modi’s longest overseas tour in the last ten years, with stops in Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, and Namibia. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the visit will include high-level meetings, community interactions, and three special addresses to foreign parliaments.

Ghana
- First visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Ghana in 30 years.
- Delegation-level talks will review and expand bilateral cooperation.
- PM Modi will address the Parliament of Ghana.
- He will also interact with the Indian diaspora, which is about 15,000 in number.
Namibia
- First visit by an Indian PM to Namibia in 27 years.
- The visit includes one-on-one meetings, official discussions, and a parliamentary address.

Trinidad and Tobago
- PM Modi’s first-ever visit to Trinidad and Tobago as Prime Minister.
- First bilateral visit by an Indian PM to T&T since 1999.
- The trip coincides with 180 years of Indian immigration to Trinidad and Tobago.
- PM Modi will address a joint session of Parliament, highlighting shared democratic values.
- India had previously gifted the Speaker’s Chair to T&T’s Parliament — a symbolic gesture of friendship.
