Gold and Silver Prices on June 28: Rates in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai & More

Gold prices dipped slightly for the second day on June 28 due to easing tensions between Israel and Iran and a marginal rise in the US dollar. With the July 9 reciprocal tariff deadline approaching under U.S. President Donald Trump, investors are closely tracking precious metal prices for cues.

Despite the recent dip, gold remains a strong performer over the long term. Over the past two decades, prices have surged by an astounding 1,200%, rising from ₹7,638 in 2005 to over ₹1,00,000 by June 2025. So far this year, gold has already delivered a 31% return, consistently hitting all-time highs.

Silver has also maintained its momentum, staying above ₹1 lakh/kg for the past three weeks. In the last 20 years, silver prices have grown by 668.84%, further cementing its position as a reliable safe haven asset.
